A very good friend of mine recently introduced me to the 'Let Them' theory. She rang me up and told me, 'You have to download this book on Audible, it's gonna change your life'. Me being me, I thought, well why not, I wouldn't mind a little navigational tool to help me work out this crazy world I seem to be currently experiencing. So I downloaded it, and it is a game changer. The basis is simple really, realising what you can and can't control. Working out what actually is worth being bothered about (or in my case over-thinking for days on end) and what really isn't.

In fact, my friend showing me this new way of navigating life gave me the courage to do this page. I had always wanted to do something like this—for myself, really, more than anything. But I was too worried about other people thinking, 'Who does she think she is?' and the self-doubt saying, 'Why the hell would anyone be interested in what you have to say?' Well, now I am doing this because I want to—simple as that.

I think a lot of us let other people's behaviours affect us way too much. I certainly do. I beat myself up and worry about things that are actually out of my control. The only person in the whole world who I can control is myself, who I am, how I respond and the choices I make. So why waste your time and precious energy trying to dictate a situation, when it's actually out of your hands. You can only do you and as far as anyone else is concerned...

Let her.

Let him.

Let them.
